A. Jaffe is cooking up something novel next spring as a way to keep memories alive. Called simply, Maps, it's a collection of necklaces with pendants engraved with a map. The map, of course, is customized to a place that you hold memorable, such as: your first date; the restaurant's address where you proposed; or the place where you met each other. Encrusted with diamonds and set in precious metals, the pendants are made more precious with a unique way to keep your memories alive. Using state-of-the-art engraving, the map of your choice is set at the back of the pendant. It's a simple yet elegant idea to remind each other a special day and place in your relationship. Watch out for this new collection come spring 2015.

When a diamond ring is stuffed with bold styles and eccentric designs, you’d think it would end up on the wrong side of sophisticated fashion. Not A. Jaffe. Its rings twist or bend and feature big, bold stones with an army of brilliant cuts around or behind the main stones. It’s opulent and lavish that, at first glance, the loud extravagant operatic lifestyles of the nineteenth century come to mind. Yet the A. Jaffe rings are far from being boastful; they exude order and painstaking precision amidst a seemingly sumptuous flair of gemstones. The rose and white golds flow smoothly, while the brilliant-cut diamonds embrace the center stone with a calm resolve like the clarinet to an oboe. It’s lavish, yes, but it’s also classic in its timeless elegance.

The A. Jaffe diamond ring is a philosophical take on marriage itself. When you look at an A. Jaffe diamond ring you cannot ignore the twisting, bending and complex designs put in by artists as if to mimic the nature of relationship itself. The flowing motion of the white, yellow, rose gold and platinum reflects the unpredictability of love, its ups and downs, and occasionally sidesteps. The quilted-like patterns mirror the maze of marriage, as both man and wife seek their way through the turns and bends in their relationship. Will they emerge triumphant? Or fall down into the sudden drops or face a high wall in their marriage, much like the diamond’s facets stop light and bounce it back and forth; or will they succeed and emerge to reach the solitaire aim of all relationships: ever-lasting love like the immortal life of a diamond.

Have you seen the latest Internet meme on the late Paul Walker, who, according to a story, one day walked into a shop to buy jewelry? He saw this young veteran who was also trying to choose which engagement ring to give his loved one. What Paul apparently did next astounded the guy: he asked the store manager to pay for the guy’s ring. For Paul, it’s a small price to shell out for a dutiful soldier protecting his country’s interest abroad. We don’t know what kind of engagement ring the man bought. It could be an A. Jaffe or another luxurious signature because the guy apparently had trouble deciding, perhaps overwhelmed by the price, which made Paul to step in. Kind deeds, indeed, speak volumes even after death.

We have seen numerous trends on diamond rings for engagement and weddings. Recently, the halo has gained traction as the preferred setting style. A few years back, vintage diamond rings were the toast of jewelers and jewelry lovers. Despite these trends, the solitaire diamond ring, the original setting, has never gone out of style. It is classic and timeless that transcends cultures and generations. Still, there’s room to reinvent this style. The A. Jaffe solitaire diamond rings create new elegant versions. In white or rose gold and platinum, these solitaires have graceful twisting bands that embrace the stone delicately, an excellent symbolism for undying love and commitment. The twisting bands also suggest the harmony between two souls, as marriages and engagements should be. The classic setting style is maintained with a little twisting on the side.

A. Jaffe has spent the last century mulling over the major concerns in engagement ring and wedding band selection, so that you wouldn’t have to. A. Jaffe was established in 1892 at New York’s diamond district and reputed name in bridal jewelry. A. Jaffe rings are graced by the rarest diamonds displaying maximum brilliance, selected so efficiently that in total they add up to less than 0.5% of the total supply of diamonds. The palladium alloy that make up the shank and mountings are meticulously processed to remain hypoallergenic and nickel-free material. The one crafted of white gold are also remarkable in their purity, and especially alloyed to ensure the rings never turn yellow no matter how many seasons have passed. The A. Jaffe signature shank, which has a flattened bottom part, prevents the ring from turning around the finger and losing the comfort and optimum position of the central diamond.

Spain has created many of the world’s biggest cultural icons in the world, from running with the bulls (we suggest away), dancing in flamenco, savoring paella, or visiting one of the numerous Pablo Picasso museums. But one big icon comes in small package, actually, in really small package—the intricate designs of Carrera y Carrera jewelries. The Taj Mahal immortalized in its fine collection, the miniscule tweaks of a leopard’s muscular body, mythological creatures woven around the jewelry wrapping it in mystique, these are the finely crafted designs that have propelled Carrera y Carrera to become a leading Spanish brand and one of the world’s most distinguished fine jewelry. Bracelets, necklaces, chains, cufflinks, earrings, pendants, rings…whatever the jewelry is, it reflects the Carrera y Carrera exquisite designs that started back in 1885 when metalworker Satoria Carrera got his inspiration from nature’s little details. Ornate, elaborate, suggestive, Carrera y Carrera seems like nature’s finer details were frozen by a wizard who set them in gemstones and precious metals and delivered them to the royalty as magical gifts. Take away the wizard and magic, but the royalty is true: Carrera y Carrera is the only jewelry brand for the Spanish Royal Family.

"Will you marry me?”
The question thrown at a lady packs in an emotional high that, cheesy at it gets, a man on his knees giving his lady the ring does not fail to elicit an applauding audience…and their nosy interest at the ring. Is it an A. Jaffe? And what kind of A. Jaffe? A solitaire or multi-stone? Truly, one of the most important moments in a woman’s life deserves one of the world’s finest luxury engagement jewelries, the ladies near ground zero of the proposal ask in their heads. Abraham Jaffe wanted exactly that to happen when he started his jewelry signature in New York in 1892: Women, your man may be inarticulate with amorous words, but he can buy and pop it in front of you. And that the sparkling beauty of an A. Jaffe ring forged in platinum or gold is but your man saying, “Nothing surpasses your grandeur, but this ring comes close to it.” And so long as man professes his undying love to a woman who deserves the best, there is an A. Jaffe that will go along the question that has been popped at an unsuspecting partner in airports, coliseums, public parks, classy, as well as, seedy restaurants, remote islands, on street corners, a friend’s parties….
